Payment Methods & Troubleshooting Failed Payments

Payment Methods & Troubleshooting Failed Payments

At Fab Heavy Parts, we are committed to providing a secure and seamless checkout experience. Below you will find details on our accepted payment methods and step-by-step guidance for resolving common payment issues.

Accepted Payment Methods

1. Credit & Debit Cards

We accept the following major cards, processed securely via Shopify Payments:

Visa
Visa
Mastercard
Mastercard
American Express
Amex

Your card details are encrypted and verified directly with the card network. We do not store your full card information.

Important: Your billing address must match the address on file with your bank. A mismatch will result in a declined transaction.

2. PayPal

Pay using your PayPal balance, linked bank account, or a card stored in your PayPal wallet — without entering card details directly on our site.

3. Klarna — Buy Now, Pay Later

Klarna
Klarna

We partner with Klarna to offer flexible payment options so you can get the parts you need now and pay on your terms. Klarna offers the following plans at checkout:

  • Pay in 4 — Split your order into 4 interest-free installments, due every 2 weeks. No fees when you pay on time.
  • Pay in 30 Days — Receive your order first and pay up to 30 days later. Interest-free.
  • Financing / Monthly Payments — Spread the cost of larger orders over 6 to 36 months. Subject to credit approval and applicable interest rates.

How to use Klarna at checkout:

  1. Add your items to the cart and proceed to checkout.
  2. Select Klarna as your payment method.
  3. Choose your preferred payment plan and complete a quick eligibility check (soft credit check — does not affect your credit score for Pay in 4 or Pay in 30).
  4. Confirm your order. Klarna will send you a payment schedule and reminders.

Note: Klarna availability may vary by country and order value. Klarna financing options are subject to approval by Klarna. For questions about your Klarna account, payment schedule, or disputes, please contact Klarna Support directly.

4. Express & Digital Wallets

We also support the following one-tap payment options at checkout:

Google Pay
Google Pay
Apple Pay

Shop Pay
Shop Pay
  • Google Pay — Available on Chrome and Android devices. Uses your saved Google payment method for instant checkout.
  • Apple Pay — Available on Safari and Apple devices. Authenticate with Face ID or Touch ID for a fast, secure checkout.
  • Shop Pay — Shopify’s accelerated checkout. Save your details once and check out faster on any Shopify store.

Common Payment Failure Reasons & How to Fix Them

If your payment was declined, refer to the error message below to identify the cause and take the appropriate action.

⚠ "Do Not Honor"

What it means: Your bank has flagged this transaction as potentially risky and blocked it as a precaution. This is a bank-side decision and is not caused by an error on our website.

How to fix it:

  1. Contact your bank or card issuer and inform them you are attempting an international or online purchase.
  2. Ask them to authorize or whitelist the transaction.
  3. Once authorized, return to our store and retry your order.

⚠ "Declined"

What it means: One or more card details entered were incorrect — this may include the cardholder name, card number, expiry date, or CVV/CVV2 code.

How to fix it:

  1. Double-check all card details and re-enter them carefully.
  2. Ensure the billing name matches exactly as it appears on your card.
  3. If still declined, visit your bank to verify your card is active for online purchases.

⚠ Billing & Shipping Address Mismatch

What it means: Our payment processor performs an address verification check (AVS). If your billing address does not match your bank’s records, the payment will fail.

How to fix it:

  1. Confirm the billing address matches the address registered with your bank.
  2. If shipping to a different address, enter your billing address in the billing field and your delivery address in the shipping field separately.

⚠ Insufficient Funds or Credit Limit

What it means: Your card does not have enough available balance or credit to cover the order total.

How to fix it:

  1. Check your available balance with your bank.
  2. Try a different card or use PayPal, Google Pay, or Apple Pay to complete the purchase.

⚠ Card Not Enabled for International / Online Transactions

What it means: Some banks disable international or e-commerce transactions by default for security reasons.

How to fix it:

  1. Log in to your online banking portal or contact your bank to enable online and/or international payments.
  2. Retry your order once the card has been enabled.

⚠ "3D Authentication Failed" / "3D Secure Verification Failed"

What it means: Your bank requires an additional identity verification step (3D Secure / Verified by Visa / Mastercard SecureCode) and the verification was not completed successfully. This can happen if the OTP was entered incorrectly, expired, or the verification window was closed before completion.

How to fix it:

  1. Restart the checkout process and proceed to payment again.
  2. When the 3D Secure prompt appears, enter the OTP sent to your registered phone or email immediately — these codes typically expire within 60–90 seconds.
  3. Do not close or refresh the browser window during verification.
  4. If you did not receive an OTP, contact your bank to ensure your registered mobile number is up to date.
  5. If the issue persists, try an alternative payment method such as PayPal or Shop Pay.

⚠ "Please Try Again Later" / "Temporary Error"

What it means: This is a temporary technical issue — either on the payment gateway side or with your bank’s processing systems. It is not related to your card details or account status.

How to fix it:

  1. Wait 5–10 minutes and attempt the payment again.
  2. Try using a different browser or device.
  3. Clear your browser cache and cookies, then retry checkout.
  4. If the error persists after multiple attempts, try an alternative payment method (e.g., PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay).
  5. If none of the above work, please contact our support team — the issue may require investigation on the payment processor’s end.
